In June 2001, Michelle (Muffin) Chaney opened THE GROOMING ROOM in Mount Pleasant just north of the town square. THE GROOMING ROOM moved to its new location 4 miles south of Mount Pleasant the end of March 2008. All breeds of dogs and cats are welcome for grooming. Michelle sells a variety of Royal Canin dog foods, grooming supplies, toys, treats and other products for your pet.
Michelle is not new to the grooming business. Prior to opening her shop in Mount Pleasant, she owned a grooming shop in Creston, Iowa and has been grooming and showing dogs since 1988. "I truly love animals and your pet will be treated with kindness and respect. I do not use sedatives, only love and reassurance. After grooming your pet will look and feel its best".
